You can try MSCIWO or WORLD. Reuters lists both of those as symbols for the MSCI World Index, but when I tried to get quotes for those symbols, I got a message that they're not available. (Remember that most quote systems require some special symbol to indicate that a symbol is for an index, e.g. $ or ^ before the symbol or .X after the symbol)
